Edward McKendree Bounds (1835-1913)
Methodist minister, Confederate chaplain, and one of the most powerful writers on prayer in Christian history. Bounds spent the last 17 years of his life rising at 4 AM to pray for three hours before writing. His books were published posthumously by his friend Claude Chilton.
